All logs and kindling are barn stored.

With the new domestic solid fuel standard regulation coming into force it is now time to think about how you store your logs and what logs you have ready to burn.
The government has now decided that you are not allowed to buy wet wood unless you are storing it and drying it out until it goes to 20% moisture content. Personally, we've never sold any unseasoned wood and I believe it would be self-explanatory - if it doesn't burn you wouldn't use it.
So now is the ideal time to start thinking about what you're going to do so that you meet all the required guidelines.
Firstly, we suggest having twice as much stock as you normally do at your home. This would mean, for example, 20 nets at the front of the garage and 20 nets at the back of the garage - use one pile then replace again.
Secondly, fill a couple of log baskets up and leave one in your porch and the other by the fire. This is because logs brought up to room temperature first will burn a lot more easily.
All of our wood is fully seasoned. Every species of wood holds a different amount of moisture for a different amount of time. We will give you a defined metre reading on the day so you are aware of what you need to do to ensure maximum efficiency from your logs.
